2017 Rally clanking into motion

It took us a little longer to peg the dates, but we’re ready to start putting together another weekend of fun on wheels.  We’ve got some new talent this year, with ESR’s hard working Minister of Culture Rebecca di Luce and MC Anthony Fernandez.  Look for some new additions to the event, as well as a lot of favorites from HOTs gone by.

Reprinted from the Easy Street News:

HOT Dates:  February 24 -26, 2017 – Save those dates!
We will be getting the HOT website and FaceBook page updated with registration information and all that.

Expect some of our past program, some variation, and some all-new ideas. The schedule will probably be different, there will be a different Saturday lunch option, exploration of trike touring, separate workshops on basic recumbent repairs and maintenance for men and women (hopefully, with some hands-on opportunities), and we are working to partner with Bike Austin and, hopefully, another local non-profit (who provides bikes for kids) on the ride portion of the weekend.  FrankenBike should be there again and … well, it’s a work in progress!  I do have rooms blocked at the Habitat Suites (512-467-6000) as well as at The Highlander Hotel (512-428-4240), which is nearby and will accept up to two dogs per room for a modest additional charge.  So, stay tuned!  I will keep you informed as arrangements are confirmed.

As usual, we rely on our trusty Easy Street volunteers to help make this event (as well as our other events) all that you have come to expect.  Some folks have already been recruited … if you have not and want to help out, please let me know!
